Software Development Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead/SDE3 to lead our development pod. The ideal candidate should have a strong development background and hands-on experience in programming, with Go or Python preferred.

As an SDE 3/Tech Lead at Coredge, you will help develop our next-generation cloud-native core solution alongside the product team and open-source community to build the Coredge.io vision.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead from the front and mentor junior SDEs.
• Act as a feature owner, responsible for leading the development of multiple features.
• Participate in code reviews to set high standards and best practices.
• Own design, development, scalability of features/micro-services.
• Take responsibility for customer deliverables, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines.
• Maintain a strong technical background (preferably Java) while working in a fast-paced manner.
• Act as the single point of contact to manage customers and internal management.
• Mentor team members, participate in hiring, and conduct appraisals.
• Create prototypes and proofs-of-concept for iterative development.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in any programming language with 7+ years of experience.
• Basic understanding of Operating systems and data structures.
• Good understanding of Kubernetes (K8s) and any cloud platform (AWS/OpenStack).
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Argo workflow, Argo CD, or Jenkins.
• Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and unit test frameworks.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and relevant frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with databases like Redis, ClickHouse, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL.
• Basic understanding of kubectl CLI, Helm, Docker, and Linux environments.
• Experience building production-grade and scalable micro-services.
• Experience implementing authentication/authorization frameworks (e.g., Keycloak, ADFS, Okta).
• Open-source contributions are a plus.
