Software Development Engineer (Microservices | Spring Boot | REST | Cloud‑Native)

As a Java Backend Dev, you will contribute to solution design, application development, testing, and production support while collaborating with product, architecture, and engineering teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.

What you'll do

• Design & build: Create cloud-native, microservices-based solutions using Java, Spring Boot (including Quarkus), Skube, and robust REST APIs.
• Own the lifecycle: Manage tasks from requirements to design, implementation, testing, and release while championing quality and coding standards.
• Raise the bar: Enhance performance, security, reliability, and scalability through observability, resilience patterns, and load/performance best practices.
• Partner with product: Shape scope, manage timelines, surface risks early, and deliver value iteratively.
• Enable CI/CD: Implement modern DevOps practices to speed up safe, repeatable releases.

What you'll bring

• 6+ years in Java development with strong OOP skills and deep experience using Spring Boot/Spring Cloud for RESTful services.
• Hands-on expertise with cloud-native architecture (CNA), containers (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of API design, integration, secure coding, performance tuning, relational databases, and NoSQL systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure or other major cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with DevOps tooling (Jenkins, Git) and agile methodologies.
