Software Development Engineer

CommerceIQ is establishing a new, dynamic team focused on developing innovative AI-first products that empower brands and retailers to excel in the digital commerce arena. As an early member of this team, you will play a crucial role as a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer, contributing to the definition of the architecture, systems, and product experiences that will enable our customers to effectively monitor, optimize, and expand their eCommerce businesses.

You will collaborate closely with product and design teams to transform initial concepts into fully functional live systems, utilizing rapid iteration cycles and tight feedback loops. Your responsibility will include making sound technical decisions that ensure scalability over time. Responsibilities:

• Spearhead the development of agentic AI products and capabilities from inception.
• Independently design and deliver fullstack features with a high degree of autonomy.
• Translate complex product requirements into scalable technical solutions across the entire technology stack.
• Contribute significantly to shaping and implementing the core architecture of a new product.
• Engage with cross-functional partners across engineering, product, and go-to-market teams to gather requirements and ensure seamless integration with the broader CommerceIQ platform.
• Produce clean, well-tested code and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
• Actively participate in code reviews and help establish strong engineering standards for the team.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in building and deploying production-grade agentic or generative AI systems within a fullstack context.
• Proficiency with technologies such as Python, Node, React, Postgres, Databricks, and AWS, or comparable technology stacks.
• Proven ability to independently deconstruct complex problems and drive them to successful completion.
• A strong product sensibility and a track record of effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Comfort and adaptability in working within an early-stage or evolving environment where priorities may shift rapidly.
