Role Overview

This is a core software engineering position focused on building custom applications, dashboards, and tools within the Veeva Vault CRM environment (X-Pages). The ideal candidate will write production-quality JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS to create browser-based solutions for pharmaceutical clients. This role emphasizes strong programming fundamentals over platform-specific knowledge, which can be acquired during employment.

Key Responsibilities

• Development:
• Design and build custom X-Pages using the Veeva JS library (dashboards, pre-call planning views, field activity trackers).
• Write clean, modular code with proper error handling and performance optimization.
• Query CRM data models to implement business logic for KPIs, aggregations, and filtering.
• Build responsive pages that function reliably online and offline on mobile devices (iPad/iPhone) and browsers.
• Data & Dashboard Logic:
• Analyze CRM object relationships and field-level data structures.
• Translate complex business metrics into accurate calculations.
• Reconcile dashboard numbers against source systems like Tableau or Power BI.
• Sofware Lifecycle Management:
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum environments to break down features and estimate tasks.
• Maintain code quality through Git workflows, pull requests, and active participation in code reviews.
• Create unit tests, integration tests, and support UAT production smoke testing.
• Collaboration:
• Partner with senior developers and Veeva consultants on architectural decisions.
• Maintain data privacy compliance for regulated environments (e.g., 21 CFR Part 11).
