About the Role

As a Software Developer, you will be instrumental in building, enhancing, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs essential for long-term product development. This hands-on engineering role emphasizes expertise in TypeScript and PHP (Symfony), focusing on creating reliable, well-structured systems that integrate seamlessly with cloud services and external platforms.

This is a long-term position, ideal for individuals who enjoy working on evolving products, collaborating effectively within an engineering team, and taking full ownership of features from inception through to production.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using TypeScript and PHP (Symfony).
• Build and consume APIs, ensuring they are reliable, secure, and well-documented.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and evolution of existing systems and services.
• Collaborate with fellow engineers to deliver features aligned with product and technical objectives.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code adhering to best engineering practices.
• Support deployments and ensure the ongoing operation of services within a cloud-based infrastructure.
• Identify and resolve bugs, performance bottlenecks, and implement technical improvements as part of ongoing development efforts.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience with TypeScript in a production environment.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience with PHP, including hands-on work with the Symfony framework.
• At least 1 year of experience in designing and working with APIs.
• Proven experience in building and maintaining backend services for long-term products.
• Familiarity with cloud-based development and deployment concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within an engineering team while taking ownership of assigned tasks.

Nice to Have

• Over 1 year of experience with AWS, particularly with cloud-hosted services.
• Over 1 year of experience with DynamoDB or similar NoSQL databases.
• Exposure to event-driven or distributed systems.
• Experience in improving the performance, scalability, or reliability of backend services.
• A keen interest in learning and evolving with cloud-native technologies.
