Full Job Description
athenahealth is seeking a "Member of Technical Staff" – a React developer with experience, preferably in public and private cloud environments, to join our Web Platform team at our ITPL, Whitefield Office in Bengaluru. As part of the web team, you will contribute to a dynamic group of engineers tackling challenges within a rapidly evolving technical stack. Our team manages Athena's marketing web properties and is looking for a front-end developer eager to work with modern technologies and architectures in a forward-thinking organization that consistently pushes boundaries. The ideal candidate possesses experience building products across the full stack and a solid understanding of web frameworks and APIs.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Participate in all phases of agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment.
- Develop prototypes for new product capabilities.
- Design and develop optimal solutions through configurations and customization.
- Adhere to coding conventions, architectures, and best practices.
- Collaborate closely with backend development teams on API design and integration.
- Undertake tasks from the backlog and commit to high-quality delivery.
- Continuously optimize code for improved quality, maintainability, and performance.
- Contribute to agile ceremonies (daily stand-up, grooming, sprint planning, retrospectives) to enhance team performance.
- Build strong relationships with cross-functional team members and external teams.
Education, Experience, & Skills Required:
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in an engineering role (bachelor's degree or equivalent).
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript.
- Skilled in HTML, CSS, SCSS, or any CSS Frameworks.
- Thorough understanding of React, React Router, etc.
- Knowledge of SEO, Accessibility, and integrating Analytics with React applications.
- Experience in writing Unit test cases with maximum code coverage.
- Familiarity with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
- Excellent debugging and optimization skills.
- Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
- Experience working with AWS services like Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, S3, CloudFront, etc., is a plus.
- Good team player with a positive attitude and empathy.
