You will be responsible for directing system testing and validation procedures, as well as directing software programming and documentation development. This position involves consulting with departments or customers on project status and proposals, and working with them on technical issues related to software system design and maintenance. You will analyze information to recommend and plan the installation of new systems or modifications to existing ones. Collaboration with engineering staff to evaluate software-hardware interfaces and develop specifications and performance requirements is also key. The role requires designing and developing software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and design consequences. You will also be responsible for preparing reports on programming project specifications, activities, or status, and conferring with project managers to understand limitations or capabilities.
