Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications and RESTful/GraphQL APIs using Node.js (Express / NestJS / Fastify)
• Own features from technical design through deployment and post-launch support
• Write asynchronous, event-driven code handling concurrency, streams, and non-blocking I/O correctly
• Design database schemas and write efficient queries across PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB
• Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and internal microservices
• Implement caching, background jobs, and message queues using Redis, BullMQ, RabbitMQ, or Kafka
• Write unit and integration tests with Jest / Mocha to maintain coverage on critical paths
• Review pull requests providing substantive feedback on correctness, security, and readability
• Debug and resolve production issues while monitoring application health, latency, and errors
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines for containerized deployments using Docker on AWS / GCP / Azure
• Apply security fundamentals including authentication (JWT/OAuth), input validation, dependency auditing, and OWASP Top 10 compliance
• Collaborate with frontend teams, product managers, and QA to scope work and flag technical risks early
• Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and onboarding material for new team members
