Software Developer

Grayson College is seeking an experienced Software Developer (Backend / Systems) to join their team in Denison, TX. This role is crucial for supporting the design, development, and maintenance of core backend systems and integrations, with a strong emphasis on backend and systems development across various platforms. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise to build robust, scalable backend services and APIs, implement efficient server-side logic for business applications, and manage database schemas for both SQL and NoSQL systems. Adherence to secure coding practices and enterprise governance standards is essential. The developer will also be responsible for creating and maintaining integrations with enterprise systems like Salesforce and other SaaS platforms using REST APIs and middleware connectors. Participation in CRM backend logic, data synchronization, and service orchestration may be required. A key aspect of this role involves writing and executing various forms of automated tests, troubleshooting defects, and supporting continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) workflows. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including QA, product owners, and customer stakeholders, is expected, as is contributing to code quality, test coverage, and documentation. The position also involves participating in technical discovery, solution design, and providing deep technical expertise for customer-facing troubleshooting efforts. Translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions and presenting technical updates will also be part of the responsibilities.
