About the Role

Join Oracle Life Sciences to design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications powering ClearTrial and Trial Intelligence initiatives. You will build RESTful APIs, optimize database interactions, modernize enterprise platforms, and contribute to cloud-native SaaS operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop backend services, web application components, and reporting functionality for the ClearTrial platform using Java technologies like Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA, or related frameworks.
• Create robust RESTful APIs supporting Oracle Life Sciences applications, integrations, external customers, and legacy modernization efforts.
• Design relational data models to support highly scalable enterprise needs while contributing to CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA engineers, and fellow developers in an agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions under fast-paced timelines.
• Perform code reviews, participate in architectural discussions, tune performance, investigate production issues, and implement security best practices including identity management integrations.

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience developing enterprise Java applications with strong OOP principles and software engineering best practices.
• Proven expertise in building RESTful APIs and designing scalable SQL relational databases.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git/SVN) and writing automated unit/integration tests.
• Strong analytical debugging skills, excellent communication abilities, and adaptability to agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Spring Framework, JSP/Servlets/JSTL, JavaScript frameworks (React/Angular/Vue), HTML/CSS for front-end modernization.
• Familiarity with Oracle Database and OCI; containerization technologies like Docker/Kubernetes; Jenkins build automation tools.
• Knowledge of authentication protocols, secure development practices, analytics/financial modeling experience, or exposure to healthcare/life sciences domains would be a plus.
