About The Role
Join AWS Infrastructure Services as a Software Development Engineer III on our Supply Chain team. You will design, plan, deliver, and operate large-scale distributed systems that manage hundreds of thousands of rack demands annually across AMER, EMEA, APAC, and GOVT regions.
Your Responsibilities
- Own the technical vision for scalable, fault-tolerant systems spanning demand planning, manufacturing, logistics, and data center readiness.
- Solve complex architecture problems to deliver extensible solutions at AWS scale while influencing long-term strategy.
- Write high-quality, modular code with a focus on operational excellence.
- Mentor mid-level and junior engineers in system design, best practices, and troubleshooting.
- Drive innovation in demand forecasting, supply optimization, and observability through the Infrastructure Control Tower.
What You'll Need
Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of professional software development experience; strong proficiency in a modern language like Java, Python, or TypeScript; deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and system design. Experience leading technical projects end-to-end is required.
Preferred Qualifications: Deep expertise with AWS services (Lambda, DynamoDB, ECS/EKS); proven track record building distributed systems at scale; experience in supply chain or manufacturing domains; ability to influence org-level strategy.
