Amazon's Global Transportation Tech Services (GTTS) builds the software foundation for the world's largest transportation network. Our systems manage the design and capacity of transportation lanes, nodes, and routes, directly impacting financial efficiency and customer delivery times. We develop platforms that enable transportation teams to evaluate, implement, and manage network changes, ensuring sufficient capacity to handle fluctuating demand. Our systems also detect and respond to disruptions, protecting customer delivery promises during events like natural disasters. The challenges involve modeling a vast global network, safely managing thousands of changes, predicting capacity gaps, and ensuring 24/7 system availability. We focus on building new greenfield products and modernizing existing systems, utilizing AWS services, big data processing (Spark/Scala), optimization algorithms, machine learning, and generative AI. As a leader on this team, you will influence strategic planning, project execution, talent development, operational excellence, and solution design, making a significant impact on global logistics.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience (excluding internships).
• 2+ years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, including patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• Proficiency in at least one software programming language.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience across the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
