Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with diverse, experienced Amazon teams to conceptualize, design, and launch innovative products and services.
• Develop groundbreaking technologies within a vast distributed computing environment and contribute to significant industry advancements.
• Engineer solutions for real-time predictions on distributed systems, utilizing advanced technologies at an immense scale and speed.
• Construct scalable, fault-tolerant, cost-effective, and manageable distributed storage, index, and query systems.
• Design and implement robust solutions, starting from broadly defined problems.
• Deliver high-quality software within an agile development framework.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, including object-oriented design, algorithm design, data structures, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, Java, or Perl.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior technical internship experience.
• Familiarity with distributed, multi-tiered systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
• Experience in optimization mathematics, including linear and nonlinear programming.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical challenges and proposed solutions.
• Adeptness at addressing ambiguous or undefined problems and a capacity for abstract thinking.
