Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with diverse Amazonian teams to conceptualize, design, and launch innovative products and services.
- Develop cutting-edge technologies within a large-scale distributed computing environment, driving significant industry advancements.
- Engineer solutions for prediction systems on distributed platforms, working with advanced technologies at an immense scale and speed.
- Construct scalable, fault-tolerant, cost-effective, and user-friendly distributed storage, indexing, and query systems.
- Design and implement optimal solutions for broadly defined problems.
- Contribute to high-quality software delivery in an agile development setting.
Basic Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, including object-oriented design, algorithm design, data structures, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, Java, or Perl.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior technical internship experience.
- Experience with distributed, multi-tiered systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
- Familiarity with optimization mathematics, including linear and nonlinear programming.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical challenges and proposed solutions.
- Aptitude for handling ambiguous or undefined problems and a capacity for abstract thinking.
