Software Architect

About the Role

Kandou is redefining AI infrastructure economics by democratizing access through reduced Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). We are seeking a Software Architect to lead our proprietary MIMO-over-copper architecture, which enables scalable, energy-efficient chiplet-based AI memory fabrics.

Location

Greater Bengaluru Area / Greater Hyderabad. This role is hybrid and requires the candidate to be based in either Bangalore or Hyderabad.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect the CMIS 5.x stack, including DataPath State Machine, VDM, I2C/MCTP, and FW-SW interfaces.
• Lead host interoperability tests for hyperscalers (Meta, AWS) by building comprehensive test matrices and regression suites.
• Develop manufacturing test orchestration strategies involving ATE integration, yield analytics, and on-chip stimulus.
• Build telemetry pipelines from firmware to cloud/host environments, managing formats, compression, and SDK APIs.
• Own customer SDKs (C/Python), CLI tools, log analysis utilities, and release management processes.

Tech Stack & Skills

• Languages: C/C++, Python, Go/Rust for systems programming.
• Protocols & Standards: Deep knowledge of I2C/MCTP, SFF-8024, OSFP MSA, and OIF standards. Experience with IEEE management planes is a plus.
• Architecture: Proficiency in creating architecture documentation (SHALL/MUST), ensuring REQ traceability, and implementing CI/CD pipelines for conformance tests.
