SOC Security Analyst Level 2

As a SOC Security Analyst Level 2 - SIEM at IBM, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the organization's digital infrastructure by identifying, analyzing, and mitigating cyber threats. In this advanced role, you will perform advanced log and event analysis across multiple data sources, correlate security events, and validate true positives against false positives. Your responsibilities include executing incident triage, classification, and prioritization based on risk and impact, conducting root cause analysis (RCA), and analyzing IOCs, threat vectors, and malicious behaviors.

You will interpret security tools and logs from Windows, Mac, and Linux systems, apply threat intelligence feeds, and identify exploitation techniques, vulnerabilities, and security gaps. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize IBM's SIEM/XDR platforms and deliver actionable recommendations to enhance security posture. This role also involves 24x7 SOC operations, threat hunting, and managing technical communication for incident escalations.
