Information Security Engineer II - Security Operations (SOC) Generalist

Candescent is seeking an experienced Information Security Engineer II to join our security operations team in Hyderabad. In this critical role, you will be responsible for safeguarding our multi-cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) environments by managing vulnerability assessments, security posture, and incident response operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Vulnerability & Posture Management: Utilize tools like Qualys and Wiz to conduct scans, prioritize risk remediation, and track compliance across cloud environments.
• Security Monitoring & Incident Response: Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk) for threats and execute incident response playbooks.
• Data Protection (Purview/DLP): Administer Microsoft Purview and DLP policies to protect sensitive information across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
• Certificate Management: Manage the full certificate lifecycle using Venafi, including automation and integration tasks.
• Cloud & Application Security: Assist in hardening cloud configurations and enforcing IAM policies.
• Compliance & Documentation: Maintain security documentation and ensure alignment with regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
• 3 to 7 years of professional experience in security engineering, SecOps, or vulnerability management.
• Strong technical proficiency with Qualys, Wiz, Splunk, and scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
• Expertise in AWS, Azure, and GCP security best practices.
• Relevant certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CEH, or cloud-specific security credentials are highly preferred.
