Full Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain data models, views, and schemas in Snowflake.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and user-defined functions (UDFs).
- Implement and manage ETL/ELT pipelines for efficient data ingestion from multiple sources.
- Optimize Snowflake performance using clustering, caching, partitioning, and query tuning techniques.
- Ensure robust data security, access control, and governance aligned with Snowflake best practices.
- Leverage cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP) for seamless data integration and orchestration.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Perform rigorous data quality checks, monitoring, and troubleshooting operations.
- Support CI/CD implementation for streamlined data pipelines and deployments.
Additional Requirements:
We are seeking a Data Engineer with 2-5 years of experience in data engineering/data warehousing. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong proficiency in SQL, performance tuning, ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, Matillion, Talend, dbt, Airflow), and deep knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS/Azure/GCP.
- Understand advanced dimensional modeling concepts such as Star Schema, Snowflake schema.
- Familiarity with semi-structured data formats including JSON and Parquet is essential.
- Versatile skills in version control tools (Git), analytical problem-solving, and effective communication are crucial for success.
