Site Reliability Engineer

Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Bengaluru / Bangalore, Chennai, Pune

Growel Softech Private Limited is seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team in India. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the optimal reliability, performance, and availability of our production systems. You will collaborate closely with development teams to architect scalable systems and implement automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively maintain and enhance the performance, reliability, and availability of our production systems.
• Implement, configure, and manage robust monitoring and alerting systems to detect and resolve issues before they impact users.
• Partner with development teams throughout the system design and implementation phases to ensure scalability and efficiency.
• Develop and deploy automation scripts to streamline repetitive operational tasks and improve overall efficiency.
• Lead postmortem analyses and root cause investigations for system incidents to implement preventive measures and enhance system resilience.
• Actively participate in on-call rotations to provide timely support for production system emergencies.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all systems, processes, and operational procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• Accumulate 2 to 6 years of hands-on experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or a comparable role.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding and practical experience with major cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Exhibit proficiency in scripting languages including Python, Bash, or Ruby for automation and system management.
• Gain experience with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and associated tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Develop a solid grasp of fundamental networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.).
• Experience with a variety of monitoring and logging tools, including but not limited to Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack.
• Exhibit excellent problem-solving capabilities and the ability to perform effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment.
