Site Reliability Engineer

NICE is seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team in Pune. This role is crucial for supporting large, complex enterprise software for our clients, encompassing applications, servers, SQL databases, and network infrastructure. You will leverage your excellent problem-solving abilities to monitor and manage our production environments, ensuring high availability and system health. This is an opportunity to deliver real-time insights from massive-scale data, develop innovative solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance user experiences.

As an SRE at NICE, you will:

• Maintain the production environment through comprehensive monitoring of system health and availability.
• Develop and implement software and systems for managing platform infrastructure and applications.
• Drive improvements in reliability, quality, and time-to-market for our software solutions.
• Measure and optimize system performance, focusing on advancing capabilities and anticipating customer needs.
• Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large-scale distributed software applications.
• Analyze metrics from operating systems and applications to facilitate performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with development teams to enhance services through rigorous testing and release processes.
• Participate in system design consultations, platform management, and capacity planning.
• Create scalable and reliable systems and services through automation and continuous improvement.
• Balance feature development velocity with maintaining well-defined service level objectives (SLOs).

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in systems engineering, automation, and reliability.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, C#) and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell).
• Deep understanding of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, including the operational constraints of services like EC2, ECS, Lambda, and DynamoDB.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation and Terraform.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI).
• Expertise in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Cloudwatch).
• Excellent problem-solving skills for complex distributed systems.
• Proven experience in incident management, conducting blameless postmortems, and leading incident response efforts.
• Readiness to work on a graveyard shift.

An advantage will be conferred for candidates with experience in Kubernetes (especially with certification), Grafana, AWS, Azure, and general DevOps practices.
