Job Responsibilities
- Guide and mentor peers in developing appropriate system designs and securing consensus.
- Collaborate with software engineers and other teams to design and implement automated CI/CD pipelines for deployment.
- Partner with technical teams to design, develop, test, and implement solutions focused on availability, reliability, and scalability.
- Implement infrastructure, configuration, and network as code for supported applications and platforms.
- Engage with technical experts, stakeholders, and team members to resolve intricate problems.
- Understand and utilize service level indicators (SLIs) and service level objectives (SLOs) to proactively address issues before they impact customers.
- Champion and support the adoption of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices within the team.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Proficiency in Site Reliability Engineering culture, principles, and practical implementation within applications and platforms.
- Expertise in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java/Spring Boot, or .Net.
- Deep understanding of software applications and technical processes in a specific discipline (e.g., Cloud, AI, Android).
- Proven experience in observability, including white and black box monitoring, SLO alerting, and telemetry collection using tools like Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, or Splunk.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Terraform.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies and orchestration platforms like ECS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting common networking technologies and issues.
- Ability to contribute effectively to large, collaborative teams by presenting information logically and clearly with minimal supervision.
- Proactive identification of roadblocks and a strong desire to learn innovative technologies.
- Skill in identifying new technologies and relevant solutions to meet software design constraints.
- Capability to initiate and implement ideas to address business challenges.
