Site Reliability Engineer III

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer III (SRE) to ensure our systems remain highly available, scalable, and performant for customers globally. This senior role blends deep technical expertise with leadership skills to drive operational excellence across distributed cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service Reliability & Performance: Proactively reduce customer impact by ensuring 24/7 availability, scalability, and resilience. Monitor and troubleshoot complex issues affecting site latency, performance, and uptime.
• Engineering Excellence & Automation: Design and automate reliable cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles like Terraform. Develop internal tools to enhance developer productivity and streamline workflows.
• Collaboration & Process Development: Partner with Platform Engineering teams on backlog grooming, requirements definition, and roadmap alignment. Lead cross-functional troubleshooting spanning applications, databases, networks, and infrastructure.
• Leadership & Mentorship: Serve as a technical mentor to junior SREs (I & II), lead root cause analysis (RCA) sessions, conduct postmortems, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within our distributed teams.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field.
• 6+ years of experience in engineering or operations with a focus on reliability, scalability, and automation.
• Expert proficiency in Linux-based distributed environments.
• Deep hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and Terraform.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Expertise in containerization and orchestration (**Docker**, **Kubernetes**).
• Familiarity with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry) and self-healing systems.
