Site Reliability Engineer II

About This Role

This is a build-and-automate role focused on AWS/Terraform environments and MySQL performance. Prodege seeks an SRE who thrives in dynamic environments rather than static setups.

What You'll Own

• Own cloud and data infrastructure ensuring stability, scalability, and security for products running on a stable foundation.
• Reduce operational toil through thoughtful automation and scripting to increase consistency.
• Create predictable operations by embedding security best practices and evaluating new tools.

What You'll Do

1. Infrastructure Management: Use Terraform for AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC).
2. Automation & Scripting: Build automation scripts in Bash, Python, and PHP.
3. CI/CD Integration: Manage continuous integration/deployment pipelines using Jenkins.
4. Monitoring: Optimize system performance and availability with strong monitoring tools.
5. Incident Management: Troubleshoot infrastructure issues quickly to minimize downtime.
6. Security & Compliance: Ensure adherence to security best practices.

The Must-Haves

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS/Software Engineering.
• 4+ years in IT operations with a strong focus on Terraform and AWS.
• Proficiency in Bash, Python/PHP scripting.
• Jenkins knowledge for CI/CD pipelines.
