Site Reliability Engineer - 12 Month Contract (Gurugram)

Join our team as a Site Reliability Engineer on a 12-month contract basis, based in Gurugram. This is a complete night shift position, working from 7pm to 4am IST.

About the Role:

We are seeking a technical lead with a strong cloud-first mindset to design and build our future infrastructure. You will collaborate with other senior SREs on our operational review board, refining project initiatives. As a mentor, you'll guide junior engineers, embodying the support you wish you had.

Key Responsibilities:

• Automate extensively to minimize human intervention.
• Build and maintain production infrastructure hosted on AWS using code.
• Design and implement pipelines for scaling, deploying, and managing global infrastructure.
• Analyze complex system behavior, performance, and application issues.
• Develop robust observability, alerting, and runbooks.
• Perform capacity analysis and planning, traffic routing, and security policy implementation for our market-leading Single Sign-On SaaS applications.
• Participate in an on-call rotation (8 hours per day, 7 days a week) following a follow-the-sun model.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 7+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Proven experience provisioning large cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation and Terraform.
• Experience with CI/CD automation tooling (e.g., Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CD).
• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and microservice architectures.
• Solid experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Salt).
• Experience building pipelines using GitOps and ChatOps methodologies.
• Experience with observability tooling (e.g., NewRelic, Grafana, Cloudwatch).
• 7+ years of experience with Linux/UNIX systems administration.
• Experience with security design principles and their implementation in automation workflows.
• Strong coding/scripting skills in Python, Ruby, Go, or Bash.
• Networking experience in large cloud environments.
• Experience in a high-volume or critical production service environment.
