Role Overview

We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) specializing in Edge Services at TikTok USDS Joint Venture. In this pivotal role, you will architect and implement robust solutions for our Content Delivery Network (CDN), ensuring maximum reliability, efficiency, and performance across the network.

Key Responsibilities

• Solutions Architecture: Design innovative tools and pipelines that empower both internal teams and external customers to leverage TikTok's CDN capabilities effectively.
• Operational Excellence: Develop data monitoring, alerting systems, anomaly detection mechanisms, and visualizations to optimize edge service operations.
• Process Documentation: Define clear team policies, engagement methods, and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) to maintain high standards of reliability.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze system-level bottlenecks and implement targeted solutions to enhance overall edge service performance.
• Rapid Response: Thrive in a fast-paced environment by participating in technical operations, rotating through shifts, and resolving critical issues that impact reliability.
