Site Reliability Engineer

Avigna is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our IT Delivery Center in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. This role will focus on building, supporting, and driving customer innovations for clients across Europe, ensuring efficiency in cost, quality, and schedule management. Responsibilities:

• Act as a Reliability Engineering expert within cross-functional product teams.
• Implement SRE practices adhering to internal governance standards.
• Ensure delivery quality and support KPI reporting.
• Collaborate with product teams for predictable operations and minimal disruption.
• Partner with capability teams to share best practices and enhance operational efficiency.
• Monitor, manage, and resolve issues within supported applications.
• Perform technical analysis and troubleshoot complex production issues.
• Enhance monitoring and observability with a focus on prevention.
• Support product improvements through code and log analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement in proactive monitoring and automation.
• Ensure environment stability and reliability across platforms.
• Automate processes in development and production using scripting and tools.
• Participate in on-call rotations for critical incident resolution.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, maintenance, operations, or software development.
• Strong experience in eCommerce environments.
• Proficiency in DevOps practices including automated testing and CI/CD.
• Experience in solution architecture with strong root cause analysis skills.
• Background with API-based frameworks; experience with CommerceTools or Fabric is a plus.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow) in microservices environments.
• Knowledge of headless commerce technology stacks is advantageous.
• Experience supporting, maintaining, or developing desktop and mobile applications.
• Understanding of solution design principles and performance engineering.
• Proficiency in front-end languages/frameworks like ReactJS, React Native, and NodeJS.
• Experience building CI/CD workflows with GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or other cloud environments is beneficial.
• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure (Azure, GCP).
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to stay updated with industry trends and propose innovative solutions.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Ruby, Java, C#, or Go.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk and Grafana.
• Familiarity with SRE metrics (SLI, SLO, Error Budgets).
• Experience with managed Kubernetes services (AKS, GKE).
