Site Reliability Engineer

Eurofins IT Solutions India Pvt Ltd is seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join its Cloud Engineering and Operations team in Bengaluru, Karnataka. This role is crucial for ensuring the high availability, performance, and reliability of our cloud-hosted systems, with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure environments. As an SRE, you will leverage software engineering principles and operational best practices to build scalable, automated, and resilient infrastructure. You will collaborate with global teams, including developers, security, and platform engineers, to implement SRE best practices, reduce operational burden, and proactively manage incidents and risks.

Key responsibilities include managing and automating cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools like Bicep and Azure CLI. You will oversee cloud operations, monitoring Azure resources (VMs, AKS, App Services) with tools like Azure Monitor and Log Analytics, and optimizing system performance and capacity. The role also involves managing access controls and identity lifecycle via Azure Active Directory and RBAC, responding to incidents, troubleshooting performance issues, and collaborating with teams for root cause analysis. Security and compliance, including implementing cloud security best practices and aligning with standards like GDPR and HIPAA, are also key aspects. Cost optimization, disaster recovery planning, and maintaining comprehensive documentation are integral to the role.

Required skills include strong knowledge of Azure services, hands-on experience with IaC tools (Bicep), scripting (PowerShell, Python), and deployment automation. A solid foundation in networking concepts, cloud-native security, and cloud observability tools is essential. Proficiency in managing access control using Azure AD and RBAC is required. Preferred qualities include a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, a passion for automation, a documentation-oriented approach, a proactive attitude towards reliability, and the ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities.

The technology stack includes Microsoft Azure for cloud, PowerShell, Python, and YAML for languages, and Azure DevOps, Azure Monitor, and Bicep for tools. Practices involve Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, RBAC, Zero Trust Security, and Postmortems.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelors in Engineering or Computer Science and at least 2 years of professional experience in Azure cloud environments, ideally across multiple regions.
