Role Overview
We are seeking an Associate Vice President level Site Reliability Engineer to join our digital revolution in NatWest Digital X. Based in Chennai, India, this role is essential for maintaining stable and resilient applications that minimize disruption to Customer & Colleague Journeys.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage the provision of stable, reliable applications to ensure seamless customer experiences.
- Identify manual tasks, automate processes, and implement observability solutions across the application stack.
- Collaborate with feature teams on delivery activities and incident response (on-call rota).
- Lead improvements in release quality and provide highly available, performing, secure production systems.
Key Skills Required
To succeed, you will need 8+ years of experience supporting live production services with strong knowledge of ITIL processes, IT Security principles, Azure Cloud, full-stack observability (Log Analytics, Application Insights, Grafana), and tools for AIOps.
- Expertise in SRE practices: SLI/SLOs, incident/problem management, resilience, and operational reliability.
- Tech Stack Proficiency: AWS, Java/Spring Boot, Microservices, React, DevOps, CI/CD, Observability, Automation, AIOps.
- Demonstrable technical leadership, mentoring capabilities, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
