Site EHS Lead - Kolkata, West Bengal, India
Alstom is seeking a full-time Site EHS Lead to join their team in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. This role offers a challenging opportunity to apply environmental, health, and safety expertise in a cutting-edge field within the rail industry.
Your Future Role:
As the Site EHS Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy environment for employees and contractors, minimizing environmental impacts, and protecting Alstom assets. You will collaborate closely with Site Managers, Department Managers, and Human Resources, supporting the Site EHS Manager in developing risk assessments and emergency plans.
Key responsibilities include developing EHS Management Systems, ensuring compliance with EHS plans and guidelines, fostering a strong EHS culture on site, and providing expert advice on EHS aspects for all site activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Site EHS Manager on all EHS topics.
- Cooperate with internal resources to achieve EHS objectives.
- Assist in EHS Risk Assessment and the implementation of control measures.
- Coordinate and control EHS-related activities.
- Provide support and advice to prevent workplace injuries and environmental pollution.
- Develop and maintain the Site EHS Management System.
About You:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical).
- Experience or understanding of EHS in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Knowledge of ISO14001 and ISO45001 standards.
- Familiarity with local legal EHS requirements in India.
- A Health & Safety qualification recognized by relevant authorities.
- Proven communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement and maintain a rigorous mindset.
