Multibody Dynamic Simulation Engineer (MBD) - Chennai, India

ZF Commercial Vehicle Control Systems India Limited in Chennai is seeking a highly skilled Multi Body Simulation Engineer (MBD) with expertise in Simpack for powertrain, suspension, and general simulation tasks. This role involves developing and executing simulation models to support the design and development of powertrain/driveline systems.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute simulation models for Air Suspension Systems, powertrain systems, and Steering Systems using Simpack software.
• Analyze simulation results and provide recommendations for design improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure simulation models align with project goals.
• Develop and maintain simulation models for various Air Suspension and powertrain components, including transmissions and drivelines.
• Conduct sensitivity analyses to evaluate the impact of design changes on system performance.
• Develop and maintain simulation tools and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide technical support to other engineers and stakeholders on simulation-related issues.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Multi Body Simulation using Simpack software.
• Required experience in Powertrain/driveline, Suspension systems, and Steering systems simulation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with MATLAB or Python is a plus.
• Knowledge of vehicle dynamics and control systems is a plus.
