Shopify App Developer (Node.js / Next.js) - Ahmedabad

Mavenbird Technologies Private Limited is seeking an experienced Shopify App Developer to join their team in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This role focuses on building and maintaining custom Shopify applications, including checkout customization, secure webhook handling, and third-party API integrations. The ideal candidate will possess strong backend expertise and a deep understanding of the Shopify ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Shopify embedded apps utilizing Next.js (Node.js) and TypeScript.
• Construct Admin modules using React and Shopify Polaris.
• Implement Shopify Checkout UI Extensions for enhanced user experiences.
• Develop secure webhook endpoints with robust HMAC validation.
• Integrate with the Shopify Admin GraphQL API for data management.
• Implement seamless order synchronization with external systems.
• Manage PostgreSQL databases efficiently using the Prisma ORM.
• Handle complex checkout validation logic and order metadata management.
• Oversee the deployment and maintenance of development, staging, and production environments.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Demonstrated experience with Node.js, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Proven track record in building Shopify custom or embedded apps.
• Hands-on experience with: Shopify Admin GraphQL API, Shopify Webhooks, and Checkout UI Extensions.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL and Prisma ORM.
• Solid understanding of OAuth authentication and secure API design principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud deployments on AWS or Vercel.
• Experience integrating with various third-party REST APIs.
• Knowledge of advanced checkout validation and conditional logic.

This is a full-time, permanent position with the option for freelance work. The role is based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, requiring reliable commute or relocation. Prior experience in HTML5, React, E-Commerce, and Shopify is preferred, ideally for 5 years.
