
ServiceNow Developer
Full Job Description
This role is within the Application Management Service (AMS) team, focusing on executing the ITSM strategy and driving the roadmap and development for the Global ServiceNow platform. You will collaborate closely with AMS team members, the AMS Service Delivery Manager, Service Management Platform Solution Architects, internal and external ServiceNow developers, the Service Owner, the SMO team, Group IT, Applications & Platforms (A&P), and divisional IT. Your responsibilities include administering, configuring, and performing minor development on the ServiceNow platform, participating in and delivering projects, and understanding how to leverage ServiceNow capabilities to maximize organizational value.
Responsibilities and Challenges
- Administer, configure, and develop within the Service Management platform to deliver business value.
- Align ServiceNow platform development with Group IT strategy.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and processes.
- Maintain security compliance for the platform and its integrations.
- Facilitate effective delivery and handover to Operations.
Tasks
- Perform administration and operational tasks on the ServiceNow platform.
- Execute configuration tasks on the ServiceNow platform.
- Undertake development tasks on the ServiceNow platform.
- Enhance ServiceNow capabilities to meet customer needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into ServiceNow functionality.
- Conduct quality assurance for development work performed in ServiceNow.
- Document implemented solutions and best practices.
- Assess and deliver upgrade versions of the platform.
- Evaluate and implement new features.
- Work within an AGILE and DEVOPS model for development and operations.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in ServiceNow platform configuration (best practices).
- Skilled in ServiceNow platform development (best practices).
- Deep understanding of ITIL practices and their integration in an international enterprise.
- Strong business and customer orientation.
- Service-oriented approach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Education and Experience
- Minimum higher education qualification.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in ServiceNow development (administration experience alone is insufficient).
- Required: ServiceNow Application Developer certification.
- Strong plus: ITIL certifications.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present findings effectively in English to diverse audiences.
- Must be disciplined, detail-oriented, meet deadlines, and be dynamic and flexible to manage multiple projects in a rapidly changing environment.
- Willingness to travel internationally for fieldwork, requiring a valid passport and visa acquisition capability.
- Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with clients globally.
Language Skills
- Effective verbal and written communication in English.

Location
- Office-based in Chennai, India.
Working Shift
- 08:00 to 17:00 CET.

- Reports to the ServiceNow Service Delivery Manager (SDM), as part of the Application Maintenance Services (AMS) within Applications & Platforms (A&P).
