Full Job Description
Schneider Electric is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to join their ServiceNow Platform Team in Bengaluru/Bangalore, India. This role requires expertise in ServiceNow design and development principles to collaborate effectively within a team. The successful candidate will translate business requirements into technical solutions using ServiceNow best practices, contributing to the ongoing expansion of ServiceNow across Schneider Electric. Primary focus will be on ITSM, HRSD & Enterprise, CSM, ITOM, and ESC Service Portal modules.
Responsibilities
- Receive, document, and develop requirements on the ServiceNow Platform.
- Adhere to architecture governance, methodologies, and compliance activities to maintain enterprise ServiceNow standards.
- Provide technical guidance, conduct peer code reviews, and ensure adherence to software development best practices.
- Participate in scrum development activities for complex requirements and project tasks.
- Engage in issue resolution for various ServiceNow modules.
- Create and maintain API and data integration processes between ServiceNow and other services.
- Work with Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) technologies in conjunction with ServiceNow.
- Collaborate with ServiceNow Support on technical aspects and issue resolution.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Proven experience in capturing business requirements, streamlining processes, and deploying ServiceNow capabilities in an agile manner.
- Good leadership skills with exceptional judgment and tact.
- Understanding of ServiceNow best practices for development and configuration.
- Ability to translate requirements into enterprise solutions and user stories with a clear deployment roadmap.
- Excellent knowledge and experience developing in JavaScript and on the ServiceNow Platform.
- Strong analytical skills to assess complex business requirements and translate them into actionable targets.
- Deep technical proficiency while maintaining a big-picture perspective.
- Ability to identify, prioritize, and weigh development options, balancing business, cost, and technology priorities.
- Contribute to and drive global technology standard proposals and exceptions.
- Excellent knowledge of infrastructure technologies, architectures, standards, and processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Good relationship building, facilitation, and influencing skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
Certifications
- Certified ServiceNow Administrator.
- ServiceNow Developer Certified (preferred).
Education & Work Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Experience within ServiceNow ITSM, HRSD, ITOM, CMDB, CSM, & Service Portal Development.
- 2+ years of hands-on development experience on the ServiceNow platform.
- 1+ years of hands-on development and configuration on the ServiceNow Service Portal.
- Experience with at least one end-to-end implementation of a ServiceNow module.
