Service Specialist

GE Vernova is seeking a Service Specialist to join their team in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. This role involves end-to-end responsibility for the Software System Integration of large and complex IT projects related to electrical grid Transmission, Distribution, and Market management. The successful candidate will ensure that various software applications and databases work together seamlessly within Software Solutions (SWS) projects, maintaining the integrity of the overall information system. This position requires effective communication and collaboration with Implementation Services teams, including Delivery Managers, Software Factories, Delivery Centers, and clients.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot software applications.
• Customize software solutions.
• Install and configure databases.
• Implement systems and conduct acceptance tests on-site with clients.
• Perform Integration Testing to differentiate between solution configuration issues and product defects.
• Support the Design Team for AEMS/ADMS systems.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT Networking, Software Integration and Deployment, or a related field from an accredited university or college. A high school diploma with relevant experience in Services is also acceptable.
• Basic knowledge of software systems integration, development, testing, and commissioning.
• Familiarity with the following technologies:
• Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and/or RHEL 7/8 configuration and administration.
• Software configuration and deployment management.
• Scripting development using PowerShell, Perl, Python, batch, or bash.
• Relational databases such as SQL Server/Oracle.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Willingness and ability to travel.
