Service Engineer

Position Overview

The Service Engineer will provide the best and timely services to the customers in Chennai and surrounding regions to create a seamless experience. You will focus on passionate customer orientation, managing calibration and annual maintenance contract (AMC) services for ZwickRoell products while working independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance visits for AMC orders within the Chennai region.
• Calibrate ZwickRoell make machines and instruments at customer sites, ensuring accuracy according to international standards.
• Prepare and submit calibration certificates promptly.
• Analyse faults in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components of testing equipment.
• Determine the scope of damage and advise customers on spare parts procurement or warranty replacements.
• Foster collaboration with service sales executives to secure timely offers for renewals (AMC/calibration).
• Advise clients on spares & consumables for smooth operations.
• Utilize CRM systems effectively to manage all service jobs and schedule visits in consultation with planners.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering (Mechanical, Automation, Instrumentation) is required. Fresher candidates are encouraged to apply.

Requirements & Skills

• Basic knowledge of materials testing properties and machine operation.
• Familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics systems.
• Experience in customer support for materials testing machines is a plus but not mandatory for freshers.
• Proficiency in PC software, MS Office, and CRM tools.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi; German language proficiency is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently under pressure with flexible working hours.

About the Role

This position involves a 70% travel requirement within India. Candidates must possess a valid driving license and be willing to undergo continuous re-training to stay updated on ZwickRoell's product portfolio and applications.
