Service Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Service Engineer to join our team in Chennai. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of security infrastructure including CCTV, Fire Alarm, and Access Control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation & Commissioning: Install and configure comprehensive security systems ensuring full compliance with industry standards and specific customer requirements.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Execute regular maintenance schedules, perform diagnostic checks on existing infrastructure, identify faults through advanced troubleshooting, and resolve issues to ensure optimal system functionality.
• System Integration: Seamlessly integrate security systems with broader technologies such as alarm monitoring services and building management systems (BMS) for holistic facility protection.
• Customer Support & Training: Deliver exceptional on-site customer support, providing expert guidance on system operations. Conduct comprehensive training sessions to empower clients in using and maintaining their security assets effectively.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain precise records of all installations, repairs, and service visits. Generate detailed reports adhering strictly to company protocols for audit purposes.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all fieldwork adheres to local safety regulations (including Indian electrical codes), industry best practices, and internal company policies.
• Troubleshooting & Emergency Response: Provide reliable on-call support with rapid response times for urgent repairs or system failures. Prioritize critical situations such as fire alarm malfunctions or CCTV outages that pose immediate risks to safety or security.

Skills and Qualifications

Educational Requirement: Any recognized Degree or Diploma in relevant engineering fields (e.g., Electronics, Electrical Engineering) is acceptable.

Experience Level Required:

We are looking for professionals with 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience specifically focused on the installation, maintenance, and servicing of CCTV cameras, Fire Alarm panels/detectors, and Access Control systems within India (preferably Chennai region).

Tech Stack & Hardware:

• Proficient with IP CCTV camera networks.DVR/NVR recording system configuration.Familiarity with various fire alarm control panels and smoke/heat detectors.Experience with access control readers, key fobs, and software interfaces.

Troubleshooting Proficiency:

You must possess strong analytical skills to quickly diagnose complex hardware/software issues in live environments and resolve them efficiently under pressure.

Electrical Fundamentals:

A solid working knowledge of electrical wiring principles, circuitry basics, familiarity with multimeters, power supplies for security devices, and adherence to relevant Indian Electrical Standards (BIS/IEC) is essential.

Communication Excellence:

Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills. You will interact directly with diverse clients, prepare technical reports, and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.

Mobility Requirement:

• A valid driver's license is mandatory as the role requires frequent travel to various client sites across Chennai and surrounding areas.Own transport or willingness to arrange reliable transportation for site visits.
