About The Role

Cyberhaven seeks an experienced software engineer to design, build, and evolve scalable, reliable backend infrastructure for our data security platform.

You will tackle technically challenging problems involving distributed systems, asynchronous processing, high-throughput data pipelines, storage systems, and cloud-native infrastructure. Our team builds core platform services that process large volumes of data across distributed environments with a focus on scalability, reliability, performance, and efficient resource utilization.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and evolve scalable distributed backend systems and high-throughput data processing pipelines.
• Develop reliable, high-performance services prioritizing concurrency, efficiency, and fault tolerance.
• Design and improve event-driven architectures, asynchronous workflows, and distributed coordination mechanisms.
• Solve complex engineering challenges including consistency, retries, idempotency, deduplication, backpressure, and failure recovery.
• Make architectural decisions involving distributed storage, messaging systems, and data processing strategies.
• Identify performance bottlenecks to improve throughput, latency, resource utilization, and infrastructure cost efficiency.
• Drive architectural improvements and modernization while maintaining production stability.
• Own critical services end-to-end from technical design through deployment, monitoring, and operations.
• Lead technical design discussions, evaluate trade-offs, and establish engineering best practices.
