Senior/Staff Data Engineer - Balbix in Delhi NCR

Balbix is seeking a Senior/Staff Data Engineer to join their team in Delhi NCR. This role is crucial for developing and maintaining sophisticated data pipelines that handle petabytes of data. As a core component of enterprise security, the Balbix platform empowers CIOs, CISOs, and sec-ops teams globally, including Fortune 10 companies. You will tackle complex challenges involving massive cybersecurity and IT datasets, collaborating closely with data scientists, threat researchers, and network experts to address real-world cybersecurity threats. This position demands exceptional skills in algorithms, programming, and testing, along with proven experience in large-scale data engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and own features and modules for ingesting, storing, and manipulating large datasets tailored for various cybersecurity use cases.
• Develop backend support for data-driven UI widgets, web dashboards, workflows, search functionalities, and API connectors.
• Design and implement robust web services, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Build production-quality solutions that effectively balance complexity with functional requirements.
• Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams, including Machine Learning, UI, backend development, and data engineering.

Qualifications:

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Expert programming proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Solid working knowledge of SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis).
• Experience with search engine databases such as Elasticsearch is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with time-series databases like InfluxDB, Druid, or Prometheus.
• Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
