Senior/Lead Java Engineer

GFT Technologies is seeking a visionary Senior/Lead Java Engineer to join a groundbreaking digital transformation initiative with the world's largest bank. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the architecture and design of a next-generation, cloud-native core banking ledger. The engineer will collaborate with top industry experts, drive innovation, and gain extensive exposure to the operations of a leading US financial institution while contributing to the creation of a transformative new product. The position is based in Hyderabad.

Key responsibilities include building and optimizing test automation frameworks using tools like Karate and Java, designing and developing new testing tools and solutions, and creating proof of concepts for emerging technologies. The role also involves providing technical leadership, guiding projects from a technical standpoint, and managing both onshore and offshore teams to ensure project success. A significant focus will be on designing and implementing effective test automation strategies.

Required skills and experience encompass AWS, technical leadership for diverse clients (from startups to Tier 1 banks), and extensive backend development expertise. Specific technologies include Java, Java monitoring and JVM troubleshooting (memory/reference leaks), Microservices, Spring Boot, JPA, REST, JSP, Kotlin, C, Python, NodeJS, SOAP WebServices, and Hibernate. Frontend skills should include JavaScript, React-Redux, Typescript, JQuery, and Node.js. Architecture and API Governance experience with API Gateway, REST, Swagger, Web Services, Java 8+, Scala, and Streaming is essential. Data and database skills are needed in PL/SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Aurora AWS, MongoDB, and Dynamo. DevOps/SysOps proficiency is required in Docker, Container Management, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Terraform.

Additional experience includes Photon-boot, Karate Test Automation Setup, Kafka Photon, MSK, Kubernetes EKS, AWS security and authentication (C2C), deployment tools like Spinnaker and Jules, component testing with Karate, testing with SmartSpec, and library customization. Experience with manual deployments to container registries, troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines (Jules-Spinnaker-EKS, Photon microservices), and Splunk logging is also expected.
