Senior WordPress Developer
Linkbuffer Studios and Research Labs is seeking a Senior WordPress Developer for a full-time, remote position in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This role requires a skilled professional with expertise in both back-end and front-end WordPress development, including the creation of custom themes and plugins. The ideal candidate will possess strong programming skills in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, combined with a keen eye for design aesthetics, including element arrangement, color schemes, and typography. A solid understanding of current industry trends and content management systems is essential. Experience with responsive and adaptive design principles is highly valued, as is a comprehensive understanding of the entire web development lifecycle, from design and development to deployment.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement new features and functionalities.
- Establish and guide the website's architectural framework.
- Ensure high performance, availability, and manage all technical aspects of the CMS.
- Contribute to the formulation of effective, responsive designs and translate them into functional themes and plugins.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Advanced proficiency in WordPress Elementor, Jet plugins, and WP Bakery Composer.
- Strong understanding of front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Proven experience in building user interfaces for websites and web applications.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and developing responsive websites.
- Comfortable using debugging tools such as Firebug and Chrome inspector.
- Ability to analyze CSS changes and their impact to ensure cross-platform and cross-browser consistency.
- Skill in converting comprehensive layouts and wireframes into functional HTML pages.
- Knowledge of interacting with RESTful APIs and data formats like JSON and XML.
- Robust understanding of back-end development with PHP, CSS, and HTML.
