Full Job Description
BNY Mellon is seeking a Senior Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer to join our Clearing Markets Treasury Engineering team in Pune, Maharashtra, India. This role is instrumental in leading the technical design, development, and documentation of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems. You will analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflow, and logical processes, ensuring seamless integration with other systems. Responsibilities include coordinating coding, testing, implementation, and documentation to achieve expected application performance levels. The ideal candidate will possess thorough and demonstrative knowledge of both frontend and backend development, intermediate understanding of security principles, relational databases, and architecture design. You will be responsible for writing well-designed, testable, and efficient code, and compiling documentation for system procedures. This position also involves mentoring junior engineers and consulting with internal business groups on application software development services and technical support, including requirements gathering and BRD/SRD preparation. A strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and experience reviewing test plans and test data are essential. You may also be responsible for allocating and coordinating work within a team or project.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for:
- A Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- 15-20 years of experience in software development, with a preference for experience in the securities or financial services industry.
- Prior experience with specific application development toolkits and proficiency in frontend and backend development coding languages such as C#, Java, HTML, NodeJS, CSS, JSON, Angular, and JavaScript.
- Proficiency in Core Spring, ANSI, and Docker.
- Prior lead experience in selecting and implementing vendor-specific methodologies and consulting experience with structured methodologies.
- Broad experience with multi-platform development tools and toolkits.
