The Role: Senior UX Designer
As a Senior UX Designer at OneTrust, you will be instrumental in owning the end-to-end design process for key product areas. Your focus will be on creating intuitive, scalable, and AI-powered experiences that empower customers to work more efficiently and with greater confidence. You will collaborate closely with Product and Engineering partners, ensuring each quarterly release delivers significant customer improvements and measurable usability gains. You are expected to bring deep craft excellence and strong problem-solving skills, effectively balancing speed and quality by leveraging the company's component library for consistency and efficiency. A customer-centric approach is paramount; you will lead with empathy, conducting research and usability testing to validate design decisions and inform the product backlog. Your designs will aim to simplify complex workflows, making them actionable and frictionless. This role thrives in fast-moving environments where curiosity and collaboration lead to better outcomes. As a trusted partner and the voice of the customer, you will influence the creation of functional and desirable experiences, ensuring the OneTrust platform remains the standard for clarity, consistency, and innovation.
Your Mission
- Lead UX design for a product area from discovery through delivery.
- Partner with Domain UX to translate strategic goals into actionable designs.
- Manage design tasks within sprint cycles, ensuring timely execution.
- Balance design fidelity with project speed, delivering iteratively while maintaining high UX quality.
- Collaborate effectively with Product Management and Engineering to ensure a unified user experience.
- Demonstrate strong ownership and accountability for your team's work and outcomes.
- Engage with customers weekly to deeply understand their needs and represent their voice throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Craft clear and effective UX writing to complement design solutions.
- Create engineering-ready design deliverables using the established component library for efficient feature execution every three weeks.
- Oversee sprint deliverables to safeguard the intended customer experience.
- Advocate for UX best practices across all stakeholders and guide your cross-functional team on the most effective UX methods for understanding customer needs.
- Act as the primary advocate for the user, ensuring the customer's perspective is understood and integrated into the entire product experience.
- Independently plan and execute usability studies, reporting findings and recommendations to cross-functional and design teams.
- Utilize tools such as Figma, Maze, and Pendo to create, share, and test UX design assets.
Who You Are
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in UX/UI design, with a proven track record in software development.
- Have at least 1 year of experience designing B2B products.
- A clear, concise, and persuasive communicator.
- A strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end design work, from research to execution.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma, including experience with design libraries, components, auto layout, variants, prototyping, and organized file structures.
- Proven ability to design for complex, data-rich, or AI-driven applications.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and storytelling skills.
- Driven by a deep understanding of user behavior, with experience designing complex user experiences.
- Skilled in user data collection, heuristic evaluations, journey mapping, and other UX activities to inform usable and desirable products.
- Experience working within WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
- Resilient and capable of managing multiple inputs, meeting deadlines, and prioritizing efforts effectively.
