Role: Test Engineer - UI & API

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Test Engineer with 6-8 years of experience in test automation to ensure software quality. You will design, develop, and maintain automated scripts for web applications and backend services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for web apps and APIs.
• Validate UI functionality, usability, workflows, and business requirements.
• Perform API testing on endpoints, payloads, authentication, status codes, and error handling.
• Write SQL queries to validate database records and data integrity.
• Develop Python-based automation scripts for regression, integration, system, functional, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end testing.
• Analyze logs using Unix/Linux commands and troubleshoot application issues.
• Collaborate with developers and product owners on requirements and defect resolution.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of QA/Testing experience in manual and automation.
• Strong UI testing skills for web applications.
• API testing expertise using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
• Proficiency in SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.) for data verification.
• Skill in Python scripting for test automation and utilities.
• Familiarity with SDLC/STLC processes and defect tracking tools like JIRA/Azure DevOps.

PREFERRED Skills

• UI Automation frameworks: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress.
• BDD knowledge (Cucumber).
• CI/CD integration experience (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• AWS/Azure/GCP familiarity and Docker usage.
