Senior System Software Engineer

About The Role

NVIDIA is seeking highly motivated Systems Software Engineers to join the Windows Products team in Hyderabad. You will collaborate on designing key aspects of SOC drivers, Board Support Packages (BSP), triage automation tools, and working closely with OEM partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead pre-silicon activities and board bring-up for Windows on Arm platforms across various business verticals.
• Develop and maintain platform drivers while creating sophisticated debug tools to isolate faulting IPs/components.
• Support the OEM ecosystem through co-engineering innovative solutions.
• Achieve Boot KPIs, ensure security compliance, and manage OS driver stability on Windows and Linux systems.

You will guide devices from pre-silicon modeling through production launch. Expect heavy involvement in architecture definition, simulation, and global collaboration within a fast-paced, agile environment where your passion for the craft is valued.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering/Science or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience with strong fundamentals in computer architecture (caches, buses, DMA).
• Expertise in ARM microarchitecture and exception levels; hands-on experience with Windows on Arm systems, KMDF Architecture, ACPI, and UEFI.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python, including a track record of independent coding projects.
• Advanced skills using debuggers (WinDBG, T32, JTAG) and compilers (GCC, MSVC, LLVM).

Differentiators:

Candidates with experience on Windows on Arm products within IBV/ISV/IHV ecosystems will be highly valued. Deep knowledge of system-level reliability, resiliency features, security concepts, and embedded systems is a significant advantage.
