Senior Staff Systems Engineer

As a Senior Staff Systems Engineer in Hyderabad, India, you will be responsible for:

• Developing and maintaining large-scale, software-defined declarative infrastructure.
• Creating well-specified, documented, and testable build systems, web services, and automation tools.
• Building orchestration workflows utilizing the ServiceNow platform's capabilities.
• Researching and implementing new open-source and commercial tools, technologies, and methodologies.
• Collaborating with expert teams on world-class networking and orchestration solutions.

To excel in this role, you should possess:

• Experience integrating AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving, including using AI tools, automating workflows, and analyzing AI-driven insights.
• The ability to drive architectural discussions and influence technical decisions to optimize infrastructure.
• Technical leadership skills to automate manual processes.
• Experience participating in compliance audits and ensuring proactive control adherence.
• Strong problem-solving and investigative skills to navigate complex interconnected systems.
• Proficiency in building and maintaining Linux-based systems using automated tooling like Terraform, Puppet, or Ansible.
• Comfort with virtualization technologies (public and private cloud) such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon EC2, and VMWare vSphere.
• Experience designing, authoring, testing, and debugging code in languages like Python, Go, Java, or Ruby.
• A solid understanding of infrastructure concepts including IP networking, storage, load balancers, DNS, LDAP, NTP, SMTP, and HTTP.
