The Role

You will be a master problem solver breaking down complex challenges into elegant solutions at the intersection of hardware and cloud. Acting as a technical leader, you will influence key decisions, take ownership of end-to-end system considerations, and champion a 'platform-first' approach to streamline analysis across firmware and cloud domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a master problem solver aligning complex technical challenges with core business goals.
• Influence high-impact decisions while driving execution in the trenches.
• Champion tools consolidation for simplified stacks, analysis, and resolution across firmware and cloud domains.
• Design high-performance systems ensuring long-term scalability, reliability, Cloud Backend efficiency, automated deployments, and Infrastructure-as-Code implementation.
• Architect secure device-to-cloud communication, OTA updates, and edge computing strategies.
• Craft comprehensive observability frameworks for proactive incident management across the IoT lifecycle.
• Provide technical mentorship and conduct rigorous design reviews to promote best practices in embedded systems and cloud-native architecture.

Required Qualifications

We are seeking a candidate with 15+ years of experience leading integration between hardware, firmware, and cloud ecosystems. You must have deep expertise in C/C++ for RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr) or Bare-metal environments and MCU/MPU architectures.

• Proven experience architecting IoT backends using Cloud Native services like Lambda/Functions, Kubernetes, NoSQL, and Event-driven architecture.
• Expert knowledge of device-to-cloud communication protocols such as MQTT, CoAP, HTTPS, and wireless standards including Wi-Fi, BLE, and Cellular.
• Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible) for hardware-in-the-loop deployments.
• Mastery of secure OTA update mechanisms, hardware root-of-trust, and edge data processing.
• Strong scripting skills in Python or Bash for automation and system analysis.
