Senior / Staff Python Engineer

About The Role

We're looking for a Senior / Staff Python Engineer to join a rapidly growing SaaS company that is building next-generation, AI-driven platforms. In this role, you'll combine hands-on coding with technical leadership, mentoring other engineers and shaping the direction of complex, highly scalable systems.

You'll work cross-functionally with Product, Design, and DevOps teams to deliver secure, reliable, and performant features while fostering a culture of innovation and engineering excellence.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop high-performance, scalable applications across Backend using Python
• Foster technical growth and continuous learning
• Define and implement system architecture to ensure long-term scalability and maintainability
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across applications and infrastructure
• Champion best practices in testing, security, and deployment processes
• Partner closely with Product and DevOps in Agile development cycles to deliver impactful features
• Lead efforts to improve CI/CD pipelines and automation for faster, more reliable releases
• Maintain clear technical documentation to support long-term stability and scalability

What We're Looking For

We seek candidates with 5+ years of software development experience demonstrating strong expertise in Python and modern frameworks (Flask, FastAPI, Django). You should have hands-on experience with cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure; familiarity with messaging and asynchronous systems like RabbitMQ or Kafka; and proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and relational databases.

Compensation & Perks

• Salary:$170,000 - $200,000 plus potential equity
• Location:Fully remote work environment (US-based)
