Senior Staff Platform Ops Engineer

About the Role

As a Senior Staff Platform Operations Engineer at Press Ganey, you will serve as a technical leader defining and evolving our internal platform architecture. You will drive the transition from legacy environments to a modern Azure-based infrastructure, establishing standards that enable scalable, self-service development across engineering teams.

Your Responsibilities

• Define architectural strategy for shared services, landing zones, and CI/CD pipelines on Microsoft Azure.
• Create reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules using Terraform/OpenTofu to eliminate snowflake environments.
• Mature observability practices including SLIs/SLOs, incident response models, and operational excellence frameworks.
• Partner with SRE teams and engineering leadership to foster a self-service culture while maintaining high reliability standards.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to continuously evolve the platform for evolving business needs.

About You

You bring extensive experience in cloud platform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure architecture. Your deep expertise includes Microsoft Azure (networking, identity, compute), IaC tool mastery, and distributed systems design. Beyond technical prowess, you are a collaborator who can articulate vision to stakeholders at all levels, mentor teams, and influence without direct authority.
