Senior Staff Engineer - Full Stack Java in Hyderabad

Experian is seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Engineer specializing in Full Stack Java to join our team in Hyderabad. This role is pivotal in driving the delivery of high-impact, complex software projects, requiring hands-on expertise in design, coding, and problem resolution.

As a technical leader, you will provide direction and thought leadership across product and domain areas, setting the bar for architecture, design, and code quality. You will mentor and coach developers, conduct thorough design and code reviews, troubleshoot technical challenges, and foster skill development within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive the delivery of complex software projects with hands-on involvement in design, coding, and problem resolution.
• Provide technical direction and thought leadership, influencing architecture, design, and code quality.
• Mentor and coach developers, review designs and code, and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Champion best practices in software engineering, agile methodologies, and DevOps to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to influence design decisions and align with business and product goals.
• Promote innovation by identifying opportunities to adopt new technologies such as AI/ML tools, automation, and cloud-native practices.
• Build a strong technical culture, empowering engineers to solve complex problems and grow into future leaders.
• Operate as a senior individual contributor and technical role model, reporting to a Director.

Qualifications:

• 12+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5+ years in senior/lead roles offering technical guidance and mentorship.
• Proven expertise in Java/Spring Boot full-stack development and building cloud-native, microservices-based applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including Lambda, EC2, S3, Glue, Kubernetes, EKS/ECS, and AWS Batch.
• Proficiency in CI/CD and DevOps practices (Jenkins, GitHub/Git, BitBucket, automated testing, observability).
• Solid foundation in system design, performance optimization, and scalable architecture patterns.
• Experience mentoring engineers, conducting design/code reviews, and enabling teams to adopt modern engineering practices.
• Exposure to AI-driven developer productivity tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, GenAI tools) is a plus.
