Senior Solutions Engineer

Sumo Logic is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, to architect and lead IT in designing and developing new infrastructure automation projects. You will solve complex hybrid infrastructure challenges across networking systems, applications, and cloud infrastructure, working with a team of skilled individuals and reporting to the Global Head of IT under the guidance of the Lead Solution Architect.

We are looking for a passionate Senior Solutions Engineer skilled in creating scalable, resilient, secure, and cost-efficient infrastructure solutions. You should be adept at producing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code as part of a collaborative team. Expertise in on-premise and cloud networking is essential, with a strong understanding of performance, scalability, and reliability for 24x7 uptime systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement complex, well-architected enterprise infrastructure solutions.
• Improve existing IT-managed systems, solutions, and processes through architectural reviews and design enhancements.
• Apply deep experience in DevOps methodologies to infrastructure, cloud, identity, integration, and network solutions.
• Enhance systems for strict compliance adherence, security guardrails, and cost optimization.
• Lead the re-architecting of IT systems, solutions, and processes for streamlined, scalable, and resilient implementations.
• Drive well-architected, end-to-end provisioning solutions for a growing enterprise across multiple environments and infrastructure types.
• Build strong partnerships with other Sumo Logic teams to create mutually beneficial solutions and increase value.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of industry experience with a proven track record of ownership and delivery.
• Experience developing scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure architectures and implementations.
• Experience in observability and cost optimization within application, server, and cloud (AWS preferred) environments.
• Experience with Fortinet network devices (system administration and configuration).
• Experience with DNS optimization and consolidation (CloudFlare, AWS Transit Gateway, Route53 preferred) and VPN management (Fortinet, ZScaler preferred).
• Experience with Identity Providers (Okta preferred).
• Experience with Certificate Management (Digicert, AWS ACM preferred) and authentication.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) and CI/CD pipelines (Scalr, GitHub Actions preferred).
• Experience writing automations and system integrations (Python preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience implementing robust, well-architected designs for enterprise-scale systems.
• Comfort with an on-call schedule for enterprise systems during regional daylight hours.

Desirable:

• Regional IT site leadership experience is a significant plus.
• Experience with the following technologies is beneficial: ADP, Azure, GCP.
• Passion for continuous learning and deep technological curiosity.
• Agile development experience, familiarity with Jira, sprints, and pointing.
